SUMMARY:Writing a Reproducible Paper in R with WORCS
DESCRIPTION:\n\nWriting a Reproducible Paper in R with WORCS\nThis one-day
workshop will help you get started on your own reproducible research proje
ct\, by introducing you to a single streamlined workflow in R for the enti
re process\, from your analysis up to the submission of your manuscript.\n
\nWhy?\nOpen Science is becoming increasingly popular and relevant\, and a
world of opportunity is opening\, including making your work fully reprod
ucible. This is not without its challenges: best practices for reproducibl
e science include several tools and practices that you may never have used
or even heard of before. (Are you using version control? How are you mana
ging your dependencies? Are you writing your manuscript as an executable d
ocument?)\nWhat?\nWORCS (Workflow for Open Reproducible Code in Science) e
xternal link is an R package that takes you from data to published paper i
n a single streamlined workflow\, making the entire process of your analys
is\, up to the submission of your manuscript\, reproducible. The WORCS wor
kflow optionally facilitates pre-registration\, sharing your code and your
  data (safely!)\, and the submission of a pre-print.\nDesired outcome\nAtt
endees will be able to get started on their own open\, reproducible projec
t by the end of the workshop.\nTarget audience\nResearchers and students a
t Utrecht University and UMC Utrecht who would like to get started with an
open and reproducible workflow\, without dealing with a mountain of new t
ools and platforms. The workshop uses R\, but prior experience is not requ
ired. Having the motivation to step out of your comfort zone — and into
a new one — is the most important prerequisite.\n\n\n\nRegistration\nReg
 istration via Formdesk: https://www.formdesk.com/universiteitutrecht/RDM_W
