 es scholars for UU
DESCRIPTION:Will you join us on March 16\, 2022 at our Are You Engaged? eve
 nt in Castellum Hoge Woerd? During the afternoon\, the Faculty of Humaniti
 es will take over the Roman fort. It promises to be an afternoon full of g
 reat stories and exchange of knowledge and ideas about public engagement. 
 All are welcome\, researchers\, support and administrative staff. Colleag
 ues from other faculties or services are also invited to join our event.\n
 Be inspired by practical examples\nWe dive into the world of public engage
 ment\, what is it exactly? Why should you do it and what are the benefits?
  How can you develop a vague plan into a concrete project and how do you i
 nvolve possible partners and your target group? And\, are you looking for 
 a one-night stand or do you want to work on a lasting relationship with yo
 ur audience and partners? All these kinds of questions will be addressed.\
 nProgramme\nDuring the afternoon we want to engage with our audience\, so 
 there will be plenty of room for meetings\, conversations and exchanges of
  experiences. We will have interviews with a range of speakers and guests:
  Lauren Gould and partner from Pax\, Lisanne van Weelden\, Saskia Stevens 
 and partner\, Joel Anderson\, Madelijn Strick\, Sanne Frequin and Mirko Sc
 haefer. There will be an information market on public engagement as well.

 Woerd is a modern reconstruction of a 2000-year-old Roman fort. Today the 
 Castellum is the place where culture\, nature and history come together in
  a unique way. During the afternoon\, we provide a distance of 1.5 metres 
 between the visitors. The theatre hall is only accessible with a valid Cor
 ona admission ticket (QR on paper or via the CoronaCheck app) in combinati
 on with proof of identity. It is mandatory to wear a face mask when walkin
 g through the building. Once in your seat\, you may remove your mask.\nReg
